The TROESTER Single Roll Roller Die (SRRD) system combines the advantages of the direct extrusion with the quality improving features of the calender. The system optimizes the production of various types of rubber strips and profiles.

The upper part of the head with its exchangeable die plate together with the roll underneath makes up the forming nip. The rubber compound is shaped under low pressure in front of the screw tip - with low increase in temperature - between extrusion die on the upper side und the roll on its lower side. The profile die plate is locked hydraulically and is therefore easy and quick to exchange. Because of the lower compound temperature with the SRRD the possible production speed is higher than on a conventional extrusion line.
