Type CA belt capstans are used principally in insulating and sheathing lines, both in catenary and vertical layouts. Depending upon the required profile, the capstans can be installed as either push or pulling units.

With their long service life, these capstans guarantee safe, efficient transmission of the tractive forces to the cable. The belts are pneumatically tightened, and are easy to replace. Belt pressure can be regulated via a control valve. Any thickening passes easily through the machine because the press-on cylinders are flexible.

An outstanding feature of TROESTER belt-type capstans is the smooth transmission force, essential for the best possible production result, and guaranteed by a direct drive turnwheel. The capstan can be designed to adjust to various conductor/cable diameters so that the material can be directed to the exact center of the extruder head. All belt-type capstans are fitted with guide rollers at the in- and outlet.
