Belt-type caterpillars type AG

AGLROT.jpg (5564 bytes)These completely re-designed modular belt-type caterpillars were conceived especially for the new generation servo drive technology. TROESTER is one of the first companies to use this development in machine design. Based on years of experience building complete lines attention has also been particularly paid to ease of operation with these machines.

Compressed-air cylinders apply pressure from both sides via roller packs onto the belts which in turn grip the product. The pressure can be adjusted by means of a control valve. Knots can easily pass through the machine as the pressing cylinders will give way. The belt tension is pneumatically controlled. The caterpillar belts can be changed easily without tools

The belt-type caterpillars are fitted with the most modern, easy-to-maintain drive technology. Both electronically coupled driving mechanisms of the caterpillar belt work with A.C. servo motors. The very wide control range of these units makes multi-step gearboxes superfluous. This guarantees an optimal integration of the machine into existing or newly automated lines.

Rotating caterpillars type RAGG

RAGG.jpg (16327 bytes)The modular designed rotating caterpillars were specially developed for the TROESTER patented concept TWINROT for the production of high-voltage cables on catenary lines. They already incorporate the new generation servo drive technology and are used very successfully worldwide. The basic advantages of the type AG caterpillars apply also to this series.

The rotating caterpillars are constructed in such a way that the complete unit rotates around the horizontal axis, including the two master/slave electrically synchronized motors which drive the belts. An A.C. servo motor is likewise used for the rotation of the unit. The direction of rotation can be selected. All necessary power, control values and compressed air are transmitted from the stationary unit to the rotating unit via slip-rings.
