The TWINROT System - patented and developed by TROESTER - makes possible the cost-effective production of high-grade medium voltage TWINLAB.jpg (6990 bytes) (MV), high voltage (HV) and extra-high voltage (EHV) cables on the same catenary line (CCV system) for the first time.

The impetus for the development of the TWINROT system came from the efforts of leading cable manufacturers to raise markedly the production speeds of HV and EHV cable lines. Prior to this, high voltage cables of this type were predominately produced on special horizontal (MDCV) and vertical (VCV) lines. Apart from the limited cross-linking capacity of these lines, making the production of MV cables uneconomical, they also suffer from further decisive disadvantages.

Main advantages of the TWINROT systems:

  • Efficient production in a wide product range enabling great flexibility for the manufacturer without extra capital expenditure.
  • Gentler method of cable production by minimizing the torsional loading on the insulation.
  • The quality of medium voltage cables is also being increased.
  • The installation of complete TWINROT CCV lines in existing buildings is possible.
  • Retrofitting of existing CCV lines with the TWINROT system.
  • Future orientated, continuous increase of the voltage class from MV to HV to EHV cables.
